SOTA triple activation by Tom

Today was a perfect day for SOTA. Not 4 summits as Franz did lately, but 3 activations with total 22 points and 20 QSO`s are satisfying me too. As I have no time for SOTA from Monday to Friday I have to take advantage of sunny weekends…

It was a quite far walk to get up these summits. Total way of hike was 12,7 km, 5h 45min including the time on air. As we could use the cablecar to get up the first steep part (beneath SB-192 and SB-200 which were activated in winter 2011) walking over to the three summits was comfortable.

Farest QRB was the contact with EA4DTV in Madrid – abt. 1.540 km followed by LA8WF from Oslo with abt. 1.400 km. Rig as nearly always my FT-817 with external LiPo battery and Buddistick antenna. After activating 5 summits the battery still shows over the half of it`s capacity – cool
